We definitely would go back to GLveston Island. There is a beautiful holiday inn right down the street. Our hotel was good for what we paid for it. Nice staff.

Hotel was fine needs some updates.no electric outlets for phones and computers.™Breakfast was okay but coffee. Was poor other offerings were average

Location was alright. The pool was very uninviting. No plants, few chaise lounge chairs, no umbrellas. No designated area for pets. Noticed, the breakfast area, tables were not cleaned/disinfected after guests left the tables, etc. Milk container was not sanitary.

Best Hotel we have stayed at in years. The front desk Person (Sharon) Was very very helpful and friendly. The afternoon Lady ( I've forgotten her name) was also extra helpful pointing out some nice eating places within walking distance of the hotel. THANKS VERY MUCH Dale & Sheila

When we arrived there were no towels and no ash tray in our smoking room. When I called the front desk they made me go down and get them rather than bringing them up to me. Other than than the room was fine.

I can't say how nice and helpful the staff was. Our visit here was great. The only thing I can say negative about anything was that parking was an issue due to people parking in the lot that weren't hotel guests. Breakfast was great. It was close to everything. Hotel was conveniently located across the street from the beach. Parking at the hotel is limited and we ended up having to park our vehicle on the side street overnight. Area is fairly safe and vehicle was not damaged. The continental breakfast was a plus as it was included with the room rate. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I arrived with 2 kids and a small dog and check in was a breeze. The room was cleaned daily, had an ocean front view, was satisfied with the breakfast offered and for it to be the weekend of spring break, the staff was on top of everything. We were there for 5 days. It was awesome !!! Comfort & convenient. Highly recommend!! Great stay. hated to leave. !!! Will return to Laquinta!!!!

This is a budget hotel that fits the bill when staying overnight to catch a cruise the next day. The staff was friendly and helpful, both evening and morning. The breakfast was light but enough to get you through until boarding the cruise ship. We would definately stay here again.

Had good stay, nothing really stood out as great. Parking lot is kinda shady.

Very clean .great location friendly staff good breakfast

My stay at the La Quinta at Seawall & 14th st was very enjoyable. The staff was courteous and the rooms where clean. With a Denny's and a Saltgass Steakhouse next door you will not go hungry. And with a small beach bar 1/2 block down Seawall Blvd. You will not go thirsty either. (don't forget to pet the bar's mascot dog).

We had to change rooms because the first room we were given smelled like mold and caused burning eyes and a swollen throat. Thankfully the second room was clean and cause no adverse reactions. Overall the experience was not worth the price.

This hotel is very clean, they have updated electronics (tv, fridge and microwave), the furniture is nice and they compliments the room. The bed was excellent and clean, I loved it. The parking lot I did not mind because we were able to park infront of our room, but there was no problems during the night. I highly recommended this hotel, and give it […] an overall 5 star rate. The three staff members we dealt with while there were very friendly. The room was a comfortable temperature when we arrived around 6:30pm. It was very clean and had no smells to it. This hotel allows pets, so when I made our online reservation I made sure to request a "no smoking", "no pets" room due to allergies. However, I wonder what parking would have been like if there had been? A Denny's restaurant shares the parking lot and there are several restaurants down Seawall Dr that are convenient to get to. We did not have time to go to Denny's and took advantage of the free breakfast the hotel offered. We were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed this hotel and would stay again if ever back to Galveston. Very friendly staff and helpful.

Hotel was perfect for 1 night stay, outside not pretty, but room clean and straight, bed super comfy, pillows extremely lumpy, good shower, right next to denny's and right across the street from the ocean, good value for money. much better than a straight up cheap hotel

Great value-people were very nice and hotel very clean. Will stay there again.

This hotel did not provide me any cups in my room. I had problem to brush my teeth. I asked the counter clerk, she said it should be. But it didn't in my room. The hotel provides microwave oven, but it didn't work. Compare the daily charges, it should be a pretty good hotel rank, but the maintenance was so poor.

The hotel was clean and near the beach. They also let you leave your car in their parking lot if you are cruising out of Galveston. This is a great savings

Enjoyed my overnight stay at this hotel. Staff was friendly and able to answer all my questions. Hotel was close enough to attractions, yet far enough that the traffic wasn't congested. We will be staying here again on our next visit!

I have stayed at this LaQuina twice before, and we are never disappointed! The bed was very comfy, lots of pillows and very clean. The only complaint I would have was that our room was next to the laundry and was a little bit noisy. Awesome breakfast and great location in relation to the beach. We will be back!!

Cleaning at this hotel was not done very well. The bathroom had leftover hair in the shower, a used towel hanging on the hooks and the wrapper from opened shampoo was on the floor. The staff of this hotel are extremely friendly and accommodating, The rooms are clean and everything was in working order. The pool is a great place to sit and watch the sun go down or watch the waves. The parking lot is small, and parking spaces by the rooms with an ocean view are hard to come by, but overall a great value.

Hotel is good for the price and is on excellent location. Make sure to ask for Beach side view. (It may cost a bit extra)

There was a bad stain on the carpet - nasty! The toilet overflowed. The sidewalk and stairs were not clean. The management was nice, the room cool, the bed ok.

Nice Hotel that excepts Dogs ,will stay here in the future and have recomminded to others ,Stayed in the 2 dbl size beds will try for 1 king next time .

You can tell that the rooms and lobby have been remodeled once you go inside. Everything was very nice, clean, and homey. They seem to have an issue with very small roaches outside around the light and the occasional one makes it's way in but I informed them of the issue and they resolved it by apologizing and giving me a free night. Had a great stay with 50lb dog. Close to great restaurant saltgrass and beach access. Has grass by dennys for dog business. Will for sure be stayingthere again. Lady at front desk super helpful and courteuos.

we wanted an ocean view & smoking, we were stuck in the back of the hotel nexxt to the dumpsers with a non/smoking room. I called the office to ask for ash trays, the desk told me it was non/smoking and to stand out side and smoke! The hotel was pretty good. House Keeping wasn't great,but we did get towels and toilet paper when we had to ask for it. I loved the location; right across from the beach, literally. And there are great food and shopping places within walking distance from the hotel.

Needs external "face lift" or brightening. Ice machine near my room was out of service. We were approached by a beggar before we could unload the car.

Personnel was very accomodating. Checking in and out was very easy. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Very hot water and cool rooms.
