Everything was great. The only thing I was a bit surprised about was the $14 parking charge a day. I purposely picked a hotel away from the city to avoid this very charge. Other than that everything was perfect.

I chose this hotel because of Sheraton's commitment to their fitness centers and the Core Performance program and the remodeling of their fitness centers. I arrived at midnight and checked into a room on the 2nd floor but it was like a ground floor because all of the 2nd floor rooms had a connected walkway in front of their windows. I walked into my first room and there was stuffed elephant, coins and dirty nylons on the floor. I called the front desk and they moved me into my 2nd room. I couldn't get […] the window to lock (important when people can walk up to your window) so they sent security and security confirmed there was no lock on the window. The hotel tried to convince me to stay in the room because it was a "safe" hotel. I was traveling by myself and told them I wasn't comfortable with a room that didn't have a window that locked. They then said they would give me the last room they had available. I checked into the room and there was a lock on the window but it didn't work. Security then created a jam for the window with a broom stick. This all wrapped up after 1am and when I went in the bathroom, there was hair in the towels and all over the floor. Thankfully I checked the alarm clock before I went to sleep because it was set for an early am hour. Why doesn't housekeeping check this? If you stay at this hotel, check it over closely and don't assume the basics are covered. Though the hotel offers many HD channels, in-room movies are not available. WiFi was a bit cumbersome and over-priced, in-room. We didn't try the restaurant. They always seemed to have few, if any, diners. The pool area looked clean and inviting (too wet, windy or cold to use the pool or hot tub.

Condition, comfort, cleanliness were all fine. Central location very accessible to all areas of interest in San Diego within 15min. A couple of minor annoyances: a) Extra $10 charge for room internet (but free in lobby); $15/day parking fee (but parking in street is free b) Location is central to everything, but actual neighborhood is not that great---not […] necessarily pedestrian friendly or "charming"---just the side of a free way amidst auto dealerships--not your typical Sheraton locale. With one elevator broken and the other running extremely slow we were told that we could either take the stairs or use the service elevator and we were on the 12th floor. After going out to downtown san diego for a fewhours we returned to find that someone decided to change or room while we were out. We also discovered that the security guard was in […] our room when we returned but didn't even answer the door when we were initially trying to get in. then we had to wait for another half hour or so while the front desk clerk tried to find where else to put us. Overall I was very unsatisfied with this hotel and would never stay there again. It was a standard hotel nothing to set it apart form any other run of the mill hotel. The only thing that was bad is thin walls and all the doors seem to stick so you could hear people entering and leaving their rooms. Our stay was great, they were very accomodating in putting us in a room facing the hillside which I recommend due to traffic noise from freeway. We stay there everytime we go down to San Diego very comfortable beds and bedding well worth the price.

The accomodations at the Sheraton Mission Valley San diego were good. The hotel building and staff were great. The only things that i would complain about were: $14 a day parking fee, no free breakfast. The bed was great and the room was nice. Our room faced I-8 freeway and wasnt that noisy at all - we were on the 7th floor.

Overall a nice hotel. The two elevators were kind of slow. The bathroom could use upgrading/cleaning. This hotel is next to the highway for easy travel, but don't expect a scenic view. The staff was nice and accommodating.

Once we entered our room I was disappointed ! There was a huge stain on carpet as we entered. Bathroom was small and shower head had a hole in wall. Just didn't have a clean feeling. My husband and I went here for our first date Of the new year ,

Next to a busy freeway, charges $14 to park even if you don't park in their lot, continental breakfast not included, not even coffee, bar closed at 9:30 on Valentines day, hotel staff not friendly. Definitely NOT recommended!

This hotel is outstanding. The rooms...bed...service...Bistro were just wonderful. It was only 10 mins. to the airport or down to the harbor. And only 10 mins North to our son's home A great shopping center right across the street. A delicious Diner.....Mission Valley Cafe-Sand Diego, a block away. Hotel was conveniently located a short drive from SAN Airport. Staff was wonderful and courteous, check in was a breeze. Pros: Hotel has all the amenities (pool, jaquzzi, workout room and FREE onsite parking. Conference center available Restaraunt is pricey but worth it! There are other eateries close by (Wendy's Denny's) short walk from hotel; More […] upscale dining across the street in the mall area. Cons: Carpet was stained but was scheduled for replacement. The rugs at this hotel were nasty dirty, not to mention ripped up. When we arrived, there were two fixtures in the room that were inoperable. Not very happy spending the money for a crappy hotel.

Convenient location to shopping, fast food and a target. I loved that they allow dogs, but do not charge a pet fee. Our room was fairly quiet, you can hear the freeway but it's not too bad. The carpet was a little dirty, but overall I enjoyed the room. I would definitely stay there again. The front desk is helpful, polite and friendly.

Only complaint I have is the price difference for breakfast option. Lot of cheap motels give free breakfast and I think Sheraton need not be greedy for a few bucks...Another one is the wi-fi in the rooms, that to me is greedy as well...Rest all are good

Old uncomfortable beds, enough startch in the sheets to kill Shamu coupled with a toilet that did NOT work despite workers multiple attempts to fix it made for a crappy hotel experience. The refusal to let us change rooms on top of all that guranteed that we wil NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN!!!!

Our stay in the Sheraton was because of the Education Seminar that my wife attended located in the hotel. We were treated very well by the staff and our room was very comfortable. We live in Los Angeles so its a short drive to San Diego. We plan to spend more time in San Diego and will surely make The Sheraton our Hotel choice.

One of our complaints, but it's a big one, concerns the ever present " noise" from the freeway. One would have thought they could have used better glass or heavier curtain treatments to deal with the problem. Additionally, the plumbing noise, every time someone used the facilities or took a shower, at 6;00 am was like the alarm clock going off. Nice hotel good service could use some new paint in some places and exhaust fans I'm the bathrooms. Watch out if you have a car the charge 15 dollars a day to park it. Overall im happy with our stay.

This was the first time I was ever disappointed with a sheraton. the elevators were slow. Lobby & staff wer very nice though. Our first room had two opened condom rappers in it, they mpved us to a room with a huge red stain next to the bed, lighting sucked, and we had the air cond. Down to 60 & we were still hot as hell. Toilet ran water for 2 days. Hand sink was broken entire 3 day stay. Staff on Saturday AM not very helpful.

The Front Dest recieptionest Summer was friendly and very helpful. She provided excellent customer service.

Very nice hotel - great parking, easy location and nice rooms. However, internet speed is prehistoric. Took me over an hour to try to open email and answer one email. We contacted the front desk who connected us to their internet techies. The techie promised to send someone to our floor to check the modem whille we were at the concert. Came back that […] evening and the internet connection was still only 2 bars. We eventually gave up and requested a refund on the internet charges. I stayed here for a seminar I attended that was held at this hotel. The location was convenient to a lot of shopping and restaurants. The hotel seemed a little musty in places, e.g. our seminar room. My hotel room was on the 5th floor facing the freeway and the drapes did not completely close and the parking lot light shined right in my window and the […] traffic noise was easily heard in the room. It was not the hotel's fault that the power in Southern Calif went out during our stay but I thought it was sort of cheap of them to be selling sandwiches to their captive customers for ten bucks each. With no power, all groceries and restaurants were closed. Since they could offer no lights, air, TV, etc to their guest, you'd think they would be giving […] the sandwiches away. My family of 6 and 3 dogs stayed at The Sheraton Mission Valley for Labor Day Weekend 9/2011. We drove from Phoenix and got there a few hours before check in. The front desk people were VERY, VERY polite from beginning to end of our stay! They let us check in early, answered tons of questions that we had on where to eat, had preprinted directions ready […] for the beach, welcomed our 3 dogs (with NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES OR DEPOSITS!) That alone was wonderful!!! We never felt like we or our pets were a bother to them! They took their time to help us in every way! Over the days we stayed we asked for extra towels all the time and they were brought to us immediately! Cleaning people worked with us at a drop of a hat so we could have our rooms cleaned while we walked our dogs. The room is a little older decor but it was very clean, beds were comfy, COOL FLATSCREEN! Even with us facing traffic we slept with no problems of noise. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and awesome! The Bistro at the hotel doesn't have the great service at all unfortunately like the hotel. The food and drinks are wonderful but they are not people friendly and the service is slow. One night it took them 15 minutes to wait on us and another 15 minutes to get an order of onion rings and a drink lol. We were just relaxing by the pool so were in no hurry but they do need either more people and more customer service. But the AWESOME service and quality at the hotel made us overlook that quick. We just ate out instead of at the Bistro the remaining of the trip which was no problem since across the freeway was EVERYTHING! From Target to pizza to subs to movies to shopping lol We LOVED having access to everything! Dennys and Wendys is right up the street too so pfft! to the slow and non friendly Bistro lol. Doubletree San Diego,Mission Valley,was ok The 9th floor hallway smelled like stale cigarette smoke,for a non smoking hotel could have smelt better,carpets needed cleaned in the room & hallway, they had to fix a broken lock in the room. The staff was very accomidating on getting this fixed for us.

Good hotel for $. Location very close to restaraunts and some basic shopping. About 10-15 min easy drive to SeaWorld and the beach. Was very happy with the location and the hotel, especially given the $'s we paid. The staff was great in moving a fridge into the room to accomodate cold storage for medicine.

We were in town for a wedding, hotel was fairly close to the location of the wedding which was was near the gas lamp district. Hotel is very close to CA-163 so it isn't hard to find. Rooms are comfortable and adequatly stocked. Front desk personell are very professional and helpful.

We arrived late and night and the staff greeted us warmly and cheerfully. The hotel has obviously been upgraded. The elevator runs a little slow. I was happy to see the temp control was new, easy to use and we slept comfortably. We ordered room service for breakfast and it was right on time and still very warm. The room 314 was dirty. Bed spred was stained. Carpets were stained badly. Room smelled musty. Air conditioner didn't work well. And the toilet leeked.

Some staff working there was misinformed about the airport. He told us it didn't open until 7am and our flight was at 7:20. He thought that was "weird" and thought we should not get there until a little before 7 because we wouldn't be able to get in. Not true of course. The airport is always open and can't have flights until after 6:30am. no amenities - frig, laundry. charge for pay for in-room wi-fi; it didn't work. couldn't get out of parking garage. gate wouldn't lift. worst sheraton I've ever seen !!!!
