When we pulled up to hotel our family's first thought was "Oh boy, where the heck are we staying?" But, after entering the hotel and seeing what a great room we actually had we were put at ease. The shuttle to Miller Park was great...a little late picking us up...but nonetheless worth it.

I rate hotels on the quality of the employees. Excellent employees will clean the room with care and perfection. They will also go out of their way to be friendly and kind. That's the type of service I receive when I stay here. The room was spacious and comfortable. Thank you for your continued great service.

Only negative thing about the room is the size of the bathroom.

Being from the St.Louis area and in Milwaukee to see the Cardinals play the Brewers,did not deter the friendliness showed us from the staff or other Hotel employees.They run a free shuttle to surrounding sights including Miller Park and the downtown area.Each was used in my one night stay.The Hotel itself,the inside decor esspecially shines like a jewel.The […] hallways to the rooms is nothing to brag about.Has a nice throw back elevator of particular notewothiness.Also I wore cardinal gear to the bars downtown with no rudeness displayed to me from others/locals.Maybe people were on better behavior being that it was Easter weekend.Maybe you just get lucky sometimes.Or maybe its the way most civilized people are.Overall it was a nice time.Nice Hotel.Heres wishing you all as good of luck in your travels. 阅读更多信息

Cute, older hotel which celebrates its art deco style to make the old look chic. Excellent customer service and free parking.

Overall the staff at the Ambassador hotel was very friendly and accomodating except for one rather crabby waiter at breakfast. We had a great dinner one evening in the bar and used the hotel's shuttle service for a ride to Walker's Point.

From the front desk, to the restaurants, to the shuttle drivers, to the housekeepers...everybody is trained (or hired) to be friendly and accommodating. The hotel is clean and unique with its 1920's decor and original floors and lighting fixtures. The rooms are long and spacious and tastefully decorated. Nice Charm. BAD NEIGHBORHOOD. USELESS BATHROOMS, toliet would not work for a Barbie Doll. Medium to low quality Matresses. Elevators so small you can't even fit the cart from the bellman into it.

This is a great place. Very close to the casino, a very cool, classy bar, and a free shuttle. What more can you ask for!?!

My husband and I actually live in Milwaukee, where the hotel is located. We just needed a night away, to feel like we were somewhere else. So we dropped our dog off at my parents house, and got away for a night. The Ambassador Hotel made us feel like we were cities away. It is a great hotel to stay at, and we will be going back as soon as possible.

This was our second stay at the Ambassador Hotel. The Whirlpool Suite is totally worth it. I loved our room with the two separate sink areas for getting ready, big corner whirlpool tub, very comfortable bed, and peace and quiet. Such a great deal in downtown Milwaukee with free parking and a shuttle downtown!

I got a room here for my girlfriend and I on Valentine's Day because I looked at the reviews on this website and it seemed to have the best ratings. This hotel is absolutely perfect in every way. Staff - Food - Cleanliness - Convenience is all there. The shuttle they provide is great. With garage parking there was no cleaning off the car after the snowfall. GREAT!

The Ambassor Hotel is such a beautiful hotel, maintaining its historic roots while totally upgrading the rooms and public spaces. The rooms are enormous, especially for the price. The location of the hotel is also great for those visiting Marquette, a few blocks away. The neighborhood around the hotel is not the greatest, but it is only a quick cab ride from major Milwaukee points of interest. The staff at the Ambassador is super friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant are very accommodating, good food and reasonably priced. We will definitely return!! Very friendly staff, free shuttle was very convenient

I have stayed in hundreds of hotels worldwide and am not easily impressed. The Ambassador Hotel was a nice surprise and I easily recommend it. Atop a helpful, cheery staff, the facility is a very nicely redone historic site. We used their van for rides to local sites; a great , readily available choice that saved us time and money over parking costs, […] etc. The beds were comfortable, other room amenities were typical of a nice hotel. Room service charges were surprisingly reasonable. Elevators are updated and modern while retaining the cool, historic brass doors. The neighborhood is not the greatest, but was safe and we had no issues in their patrolled, monitored ample and FREE parking. Freeway access is fairly close. We found a good value, local restaurant for breakfast, only steps away, as we also enjoy local color over others. The one-star review is an unfair post, referring to another hotel! The electrical switch was labeled MASTER, controlling all power to the room; convenient and 'green', versus the room-card system, common in Asia. I am a regular guest of the Milwaukee Ambassador, however they are starting to slip a little... First, my room was not to their usually large an luxurious standard, it was quite dated and "banged up" while I understand this i an older property, normally the rooms are nicely remodeled, this one was, but clearly had been abused and not repaired. Second, […] Housekeeping is slipping big time. I had to complain twice about sheets on the bed, first because I found hairs in the sheets and the pillows. The second time because they didn't change them when I asked them to the first time! Common people, I don't like sleeping in hotels, and certainly not in someone Else's sheets! Then the check in Experience was less than stellar as I waited for the couple in front of me to argue with the clerk for 25 MINUTES before the clerk thought it might be wise to get some help on the counter... We have stayed at the Ambassador many times and it appears that the hotel is slipping a little. Old frayed towels, stained (but clean) linens, and a staff that does not communicate between shifts has generated some doubt for us. It was a perfect spot for our family. Hotel is great, and the personnel were always very helpful and friendly. Services, restaurants very very nice.

The staff are so friendly and everyone is quite accomodating and willing and ready to help. All were so pleasant. The hotel is older so there is some detail work that could be done to spruce it up... but overall it was nice and handy access to Highway. Neighborhood is so so.

The hotel service was great and so was the shuttle. The driver had a sense of humor and worked hard to meet the needs of all the guests. Service in the bar was prompt. Cleanliness of the hotel was nice for such an old building. This hotel room was wonderful. The bed was comfortable and clean. This was one of the few hotels where I didn't start itching after crawling in bed. The room was HUGE! We were there for several days and had plenty of room to move about, get ready and relax. While the room was heavenly, the front desk was even better!! She explained it in such detail to the next shift, that when we came down the next morning to get our new parking permit, all I had to do was introduce myself and she knew the whole story and had our parking pass ready to go. Speaking of parking, there was a TON parking spots available. The hotel is near campus, the casino and a concert venue, but you can't hear a peep from outside once you are inside. The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was pleasant and extremely helpful. I had a 2 queen room because it is much larger than a singel room. If your staying for a few days it is the way to go. I also asked for a room on a corner the views are better and there are windows all around. We did the Sunday brunch, which is small plates what a great […] idea!! This way we were able to try several breakfast options and not have too much food!! My only complaint was housekeeping. This is a great older deco style hotel in the Marquette area of Milwaukee. The surrounding neighborhood is a bit sketchy but nothing to worry too much about. The rooms in this hotel are larger than your standard hotel and are quite comfortable. I don't remember sleeping that well in a hotel bed in a long time. The bathrooms are small but there is a […] vanity/sink next to the bathroom so two people can be getting ready at the same time. Rooms include minibars, robes and hairdryers. The hotel also offers free wi-fi for 3 days which is a luxury these days. They have a free shuttle service as well so if you don't have a car, no problem. If you do have a car, there is free parking in a lot on site. The hotel is in an ideal location if you are wanting to be close to the downtown area. There is a restaurant inside the hotel as well as a nice bar for a late night cocktail. And for those needing a hot cup of coffee to start your day, there is a coffee shop too. The room was incredibly large and very comfortable. But the shuttle service was exceptional. They will drive you anywhere in Milwaukee and pick you up! No need for taxis or searching for parking.

Very nice hotel with attentive staff. The art deco feel was classy. Food pretty good too. Bar swanky with fun 1930's cocktails offered.
