In all my travels I've never experienced a staff that was as enthusiastic and helpful. From check-in to check-out the service was exceptional. The room was clean and very comfortable. The location is not really inconvenient but is pretty isolated. However, the accommodations and hospitality more than make up for the short drive you have to make for […] food. We booked this while on the road took a chance and we were pleseantly pleased. Staff was great and the continnental breakfast was a great plus.

We stay at this hotel every year (5 years) on the same weekend. The people are excellent. It isn't real close to resturants (it's no big deal to drive 5 miles to eat) but it is very quiet. We will continue to stay here in the future

Comfortable and friendly. Exactly what I needed after an exhausting day. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was great!

This hotel is a bit off the beaten path, however, it was easy to get to off of I-20, the staff was friendly and helpful, the parking was well lit and the room was clean and comfortable. I read other reviews prior to my stay and, yes, tthere isn't a store or restaurant nearby, but I purchased food before arriving at the hotel so this wasn't a problem […] for me. I was on my way to Atlanta, so stopped in Birmingham the next morning (thirty minutes) for breakfast. This was a great place to stop over on my way to somplace else. Room has water damage due to TS Lee. Water coming in from window by A/C unit. Wet Carpet as a result. Moldy smell to it. Notified management.. nothing done.

Stayed here for son's freshmen orientation at UA. It's about 20 minutes from campus but is clean, nice and better than most of the hotels in Tuscaloosa.

great place tostay! only problem was no place to eat dinner, lunch. It is located off an exit on route 20 that is empty, no facilities for any personel needs.

The staff was very nice and the room was pretty nice, too, but the hotel was in an isolated location and was too far away from restaurants, convenience stores, and the University of Alabama to consider staying there again.

This hotel is only about 20 min from Tuscaloosa. It's a quiet drive. I absolutely loved this hotel. Great price Great management.

Somewhere between Birmingham and Tuscaloosa lies this remote hotel called Greystone Inn & Suites. It is located next to nothing except a freight warehouse. This is definitely a traveler's hotel. The front […] staff was very friendly and offered free sodas for the entire stay. Breakfast was a choice of microwave biscuits or cold cereal mixed in with some muffins and fruit. The room was very plain with a tough smell of cleaning detergent. The design of the kitchen was very outdated and could use some TLC. Carpet needed to be replaced and the bed comforter was stolen off the back of a moving truck. (You know those moving blankets that you use so your refrigerator doesn't get damaged). Bathroom and walls were plain except for the water damage on the popcorn ceiling. Yuck! Air conditioning was a little noisy but worked well. TV was the only thing that was a plus. But surprisingly enough,Greystone did exactly what I needed it to do. It was quiet and, for the price, was exactly what I expected. It would have been nice if they had some type of concession products down in the lobby. (anything at all to snack on. ) Since the nearest food is a ten minute drive. I'm a single woman and stayed at the Greystone Inn overnight while en route from New York to Dallas. This hotel exceeded my expectations, by far. This was a decent hotel but no where near Tuscaloosa which was what was advertised. Also, the hotel was overbooked so we did not get what we requested. If you are passing through, it is a good place to stay, but if you are visiting Tuscaloosa, get something closer.

My Mother and I recently stayed at the Greystone Inn located in Vance, AL while attending a family function. The facility was great and offered far more than expected. It was a very nice room with a kitchen. I enjoyed my stay. The only thing was the cable and internet went out.

Hotel is in the middle of nowhere, but it is therefore, very quiet... It is also located nicely between Tuscaloosa and Bessemer, so location wasn't a big issue. Staff was extremely friendly, but never in an overbearing way.

I had never heard of this hotel until i was trying to book a room for a comedy show in Birmingham, AL. All the area hotels were booked and I could not get a room near the event. The hotel staff was very nice and extremely accommodating. The room was clean,but had a funny smell. The bed was comfortable, the TV was great. This place is alittle out of the way, which is good cause it's quiet. I would stay here again.

When I exited the Interstate, I expected the Hotel to be within a block or so. It is quite a way off the Interstate, but very clearly marked. The hotel is not fancy or luxurious, but a fine business traveler's hotel. The rooms are very large, with 42" TV, a table with 4 chairs and a refrigerator and microwave. Separate vanity and bathroom. No frills […] decor. Comfortable, clean, and very reasonable rates. As for being off the beaten path, this also meant it was quiet and peaceful. Only disappointment about stay is there is nothingoff that exit besides Mercedes Benz plant, which was conveinent for me because of reason for being in Alabama. But i had to drive a good distance to find groceries for time of my stay. Was very happy with stay and friendliness of employees.

This was the best hotel for the price that I have ever stayed in. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The room was perfect size for a couple and the bed was comfortable. There is not anything around the hotel but its quiet around the hotel even though its really close to the interstae. You can be in Birmingham or Tuscaloosa within 30 minutes […] with plenty to do. Absolutely the friendliest staff and management I have ever experienced. Clean and spacious rooms with all the conveniences. Not only complimentary breakfast, but drinks and snacks throughout the day. The distance from Tuscaloosa was a minimal problem.

This hotel by far exceeded my expectations! The hotel is located about 1 mile off of Interstate 20/59. It is very close to the city limits of Tuscaloosa. Once you get onto the interstate from the hotel you pass a "City of Tuscaloosa Limits" sign. The hotel is the perfect location to get to a game for the University of Alabama. I go to almost every home […] game and usually stay in Birmingham due to the cost of the hotels close to Tuscaloosa. This hotel was very reasonably priced and about a 20 minute drive to the downtown area and university in Tuscaloosa. The hotel was very clean and offered events prior to the game. The immediate area surrounding the hotel has nothing there. So it is very quiet. But you can't just walk down the road to a gas station or something. But again, it is very close to Tuscaloosa! Unless you have business with the Mercedes Corporation, it's about 20 minutes to Tuscaloosa. If you don't mind the drive it isn't too bad. The rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly. Kitchenette in the rooms were nice as far as kitchenettes go. The refrigerator was decently sized for a hotel, which was nice as I would recommend bringing your […] own breakfast. The breakfast at the hotel was fairly slim.
