This hotel has alot of potiential to be a really good hotel, one thing that i didnt not like was the fact that housekeeping did not change our sheets the entire weekend. They did leave a flyer indicating "to save water" or something like that, however i would have much rather them change them. The hotel looks a bit spooky if and when you arrive when […] its dark out side but i will admit that its actually beautiful. The hotel is very well located close to main attractions of Bridgetown, Oistins and other parts of the island. Close to police station (security) and doctors as their beach is not well taken care of and my girlfriend stepped on something in water that'd caused some issues with her health which were resolved promptly. Off season (now in June) they have […] very limited services available in hotel which is not I would expect from hotel of this quality / price. Located just outside Bridgetown, we found the check-in process "just acceptable". Smiles were hard to come by, and no one helped us unload our heavy bags from the taxi. The room was clean but nothing to write home about. Some of the corridors and public spaces were littered with conference equipment and used as "storage areas". The continental breakfast […] was fine, tho we were again "welcomed" by unsmiling waitresses. The Savannah is on a main road, and local buses and taxis were easy to get. I have stayed many times at this hotel over the past ten years for business. It's government owned and operated and you can tell. Compared to other business hotels like the Hilton, the rates are too high. The rooms are showing age but a far better hotel than any of the other GEMS in Barbados. Lots of charm and history.
