Staying at the Thayer is a real treat because of it's location on the campus of West Point. The bar is great and the restaurant has the best seafood risotto I have had anywhere in the world! Nice hotel located right at the gate at West Point. Room was large and comfortable. Had to go through security many times because of its location to West Point...a little irritating because we missed a turn and had to go around the loop again and had to go through a full search of the car...which they had searched 2 minutes before.

The Thayer is a wonderful hotel. Right on the grounds of West Point it is a beautiful and historic place to spend a few days. Being on the grounds of West Point is a treat - it is a gorgeous "campus" with the historic buildings, lovely grounds, views of the Hudson and military history. Our room faced the Hudson and the view was beautiful. The staff […] was friendly and the accomodations are comfortable. They do a nice job of keeping this older hotel in very good condition. The food in the restaurant was good and you get to enjoy views of the river while you dine. You should definitely take the tour of West Point while you are there and take some time to walk around the grounds. 阅读更多信息

Thayer is a great location for visiting West Point although security controls make things naturally a bid awkward. They have a great restaurant and this is a very beautiful historic building although the room could use updating. I felt it was a little overpriced

They put us in an Annex room. An old girls dorm room that they almost never use anymore. It was dirty, small, no TV, Paint coming off the walls. It was embarressing. After much complaining they everntually moved us to a room in the 'newer' part of the hotel. For the price I paid I was very much displeased with my stay.
