Best Western Sonora Inn - 索诺拉

For the price we paid at that location and it being a Best Western, we expected a lot better. A Hotel 6 would have been as good but considerably less expensive. Will try to avoid this hotel in the future.

This hotel was overbooked but they found us a room. We really appreciated it.

We recently stayed at this hotel to visit family in the area. We were pleasantlly surprised to be upgraded to a larger room for the same price quoted online. We enjoyed our stay. The first day at breakfast there was no one to help us and thus we were unaware that we could have ordered eggs, etc.

The rooms were very clean and beds very comfortable. This hotel also offers a good free breakfast.

Computer in Lobby "Out of Order". Out of Tea Bags in Breakfast Room Juice Machine had an "Out of Order" sign on it. Machine should be removed to avoid confusion as juice was in a coffee urn. The Breakfast was awesome with omelets cooked to order and pancakes and eggs cooked to order.

An excellent buy.

Very surprised with a hotel in the middle of nowhere. Clean! Very good service! Good breakfast!

The room was acceptable in general but the carpet had a lot of stains. They advertise hot breakfast but I would not call just eggs made in an electric pan breakfast.

Traveling alone on a 2,000 mile drive, I picked the Best Western Inn, Sonora TX, as a 1/2 way point between an El Paso/Houston. The property is ho-hum o.k., just off I-10 east which makes it convenient; but surrounds are stark - 2 gas stations, a 'quick stop' market, and a lot of concrete. The "Jr. Suite" was clean enough, with drab furnishings in living […] area and a small efficiency kitchen. One exception was a surprising comfortable K bed with nice bedding. Front desk staff is indifferent. The tired flyer in the room lists 2 mexican restaurants - one closes at 2 pm, the other is out of business. I arrived starved, called the front desk for dining options - the clerk offered up a mexican place behind the property and nothing else. I hopped in the car to check things out and discovered some other options just up road toward town. There's a 'breakfast' included, but I passed. This stretch of highway is uninspiring and the most one can expect in Sonora is a place to lay your weary head. My husband and I spent one night here and couldn't wait to leave. We got a smoking room bc the others were full. Normally this is no problem; however this room smelled like a bar full of smokers. The carpet had many stains, and the bathroom floor was dirty. We arrived at this hotel late in the evening to find that the doors were locked and you had to press a doorbell to call attention of the staff. My husband and I rang the bell and waited...no one showed up. we had to ring the bell about 10 times and waited roughly 20 min before anyone showed up. Once she did, she was not friendly or accomodating. I paid […] for a junior suite and did not recieve one. The walls were paper thin and the plumming was SO loud. Anytime someone in another room flushed the toilet, it woke me up. The housekeeping staff started their rounds at about six in the morning and did not make any attempt to keep allow the patrons to sleep in. I was AGAIN awakened by the sound of the housekeepers slamming doors to other rooms and their loud rolling carts. I will say that the breakfast provided was the ONLY satisfactory thing about this hotel. I will certainly stay at another facility if I am ever in this area again. DO NOT STAY HERE. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and modern. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise with omelete and breakfast burrito made to order, plus a decent sausage and biscuit.

Our stay was very comfortable, the room was very nice and clean. Breakfast in the morning was good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in Sonora.

The hotel was comfortable. There are rooms that are no smoking and no pets. I am positive that the no pet room we were in had pets bofore. my son and I were very uncomfortable. I can't say that I can blame hotel because we have seen people sneaking their animals in no pet rooms.

Pros: Great location Nice Rooms Nice Furnishings Comfortable Beds Great Service Cons: No CBS channel on TV - what's up with that? Breakfast was skimpy No juice - machine broken Few choices of food

We checked in late and the staff was courteous. I was able to pay my pet fee in the morning. Large room on first floor (which I had requested). Breakfast was average with staff making omlettes on request.

The hotel is OK if you want to visit the Sonora Caves. Also, we recommend the trip to Fort McKavett. Free Breaksfast is a little scarce. Room well maintained and hotel staff offers good service.

Bad Front Desk Service & Breakfast Server.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well kept. We would definitely stay there again.
