Cape Diamond Hotel - 开普敦

Strongly recommend this hotel. The service, location and price is amazing. Will come back.

Hotel service was excellent. Two things I was unhappy about , (1) leak on the bathroom basin and (2) the location and addititonal cost of the parking.

Everything that can be expected from a 3 star hotel. Decent rooms, nice breakfasts/ restaurant. No frills. Location middle of CBD.

myself and my girlfriend originally stayed here for 5 nights before traveling to PE but on our return to cape town we booked in for an extra 4 nights until our return home due to excellent value and location of the hotel. the staff are very helpful and friendly, the room are a decent size especially if like us you don't spend much time in the room […] as we were out sight-seeing most of the days. the breakfast is very nice with a good selection of hot and cold foods available also. the location has to be one of the best parts it is about 2 min walk to the train station (good for going anywhere down the peninsula such as boulders or Simon town and cape of good hope). it is also close to the civic center about 7 min walk, this is where the shuttle from the airport stops. it is also on one of the main shopping streets just of adderly street and about 3 min walk to all the local markets such as green market street it is about a 20 min walk to the V and A waterfront but it only costs about 35 rand, (3.50 euro) to get there in a taxi. also there is a jacuzzi on the roof, that nobody sems to know about as it is always empty, with an unbelievable view of table mountain plus the hop on hop off tour bus practically passes the front door. all in all we would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone 阅读更多信息

The hotel smelt very odd in the public rooms and lifts. Not sure if this was stale cooking but it was a bit offputting. Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. It is a bit shabby in the reception area. Our room was OK, very small but clean and lots of hot water, but it looked right out into the multi-story car park opposite, which was a bit off putting. We found roach in the room 2 days in a row. No airconditioner.

I was in room 801, which had a balcony. That was great until I realised that I could walk along the balcony and tap on several other room doors (or peek in if the curtains were open) The patio doors and bed overlooked a carpark 20 metres over the road, and no nets in the windows so the curtains had to stay shut. No air conditioning- in Cape Town, in […] the height of summer? Ludicrous. The bathroom had fungus bubbling the paint at the edge of the bath, and black mould on the ceiling and tiles due to a lack of ventilation. It also hosted several cockroaches at night. Reading the info booklet, it says that at one point the building (which could be stunning given some TLC) was a drug and prostitute den during the 90's. A great little story if the rooms are fresh and bright and airy, but pretty grim in its current state. On the plus side? The reception area is lovely and the breakfast is a great buffet for the price. Overall- I would never recommend it to anyone, and I am never staying there again. Nicely located, very central in Cape Town. Extremely well priced considering the great service and nice rooms

As stated in other reviews the staff was indeed very friendly, although beware of the night bartender with the rasta hair who was trying to overcharge us 2x. We stayed for 10 days and they got us too in a small room first. We got a bigger room the 2nd day but the amount of space to hang your clothes up is not enough if you stay longer than a day (was […] tiny in both rooms). The housekeeper forgot something most of the days, a towel short here no toilet paper there but if you call they fix it straight away. The couch in our room had stains on it and some of the wooden floor parts were a bit loose so be careful. If you have a car prepare for a 70 Rand per day extra to park it in a parking garage with 4 spaces allocated on the 2nd floor, 4 on the 6th and 4 on the 9th floor so if you are late back be prepared to make 36 turns up to the top floor to park your car. Breakfast also nice with choices of juices, breads and/or a cooked breakfast. Staff here also very friendly. Our first room on the 8th floor had a shared balcony looking onto another tall building, the second one on the 5th floor saw the parking garage as a view, maybe the other 2 sides are better but don't expect a wonderfull view otherwise. 阅读更多信息

This is a very conveniently located, basic and well priced hotel for sight-seeing in Cape Town. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms adequate. The buffet breakfast is excellent and caters for all tastes, though the pastries and the croissants are not up to standard. The only problems experienced were the airport taxi did not arrive to collect […] us and the lifts were out of service for a few days. For the price, it was the best hotel that i got. Most of hotels of this price don't have such good breakfast.

First I got a room without a shower, just a bathtub, but I called and they changed it to a much bigger room with a shower. Parking is not included in the price of the hotel. The staff is very nice.

I merely booked the hotel for the price, and was pleasantly surprised with the excellent value for money, charming staff (especially the worderful doorman), and central location. This was truly a great value for money experience, and the the breakfast was delightful

Very nice hotel. The best you can get with this price/location. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was also ok. I spent there 2 nights in November 2011 and have no complains.

The location of this hotel is very convenient to downtown Cape Town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were quite surprised, however, to only have a bathtub and no shower.

This establishment is no gem as the name states. It is situated in a part of town that is not savoury or safe at night. No parking facilities at the establishment. Web site and promotional material are not the true reflection of the establishment. We checked out straight away and found alternative accommodation.

Hotel was average. Rooms were TINY and not ver clean as we had stains on our sheets every night. The location is sketchy and expect to be hassled for money everytime you go out. Price was excellent.

I was there from15 to 18 August 2011. it is an amazing hotel which offered a reasonable rate and the staff was exceptionally friendly and caring. would definetely go back.

Very nice hotel in the city center with a good service level, and a very friendly and hospitally staff. I stayed there for 5 nights, and enjoyed it.

The location is very conveneint and the the ambiance is great. I find that the Management work much hardder than the ground staff in order to satisfy the customer. Overall, I would definately visit this hotel again if I were to stay in CT.

The Cape Diamond is in a great location about 2 blocks from the busy heart of the city but on a relatively quiet street. I got much more than I expected. The continental breakfast is actually a traditional South African breakfast with 3 kinds of juices, 3 kinds of cereal, bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, sauteed mushrooms, steamed tomato halves, fruit […] salad, coffee, and tea. If you want anything else - which is hard to imagine - you can order it from their restaurant - Patat. The staff is great. (I stayed in the Cape Diamond before I found a place to live in Cape Town (I had a 2 month internship) and I needed to know where things like cell phones, pharmacy and cheap restaurants were. The hotel seems to be run very efficiently and all the staff that I came across were extremely friendly and helpful. Its location is ideal for those wishing to explore central Cape Town and its museums etc on foot: even the Water Front is no more than 20 minutes' stroll away. The City Hall is less than a minute's walk, and 'On Broadway' in Long street […] is also a few minutes' walk. friendly and helpful staff, excellent food, great location

This hotel was better than I expected for the price I found online. Ideally located within walking distance of attractions and with quick easy access to the N2. Tastefully decorated. My only complaint is that they overcharge for wireless internet. I found a great price for this hotel on line and was more than impressed with the value for my money. Perfect location. Within walking distance of many attractions. Staff are friendly and helpful. Wireless is availably but way overpriced. Rooms could have been a little cleaner but overall a great place to stay in CapeTown

The hotel was clean and very well located to everything you need in Cape Town, 2 blocks to Green Market, 2 blocks to the hop on and hop off bus, the staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was nice, The wi-fi is way over priced, but otherwise it was a good value for the money

Sehr zentral, gute Lage, gutes Hotel. Das frühstück war etwas einseitig aber dennoch nett, die Lage ist zentral, nahe des Green Markets und anderen guten Shoppingmöglichkeiten. Prijs/kwaliteit is goed in dit hotel. Verse handdoeken moesten soms wel gevraagd worden (vergetelheid van de poetsvrouwen), maar al bij al genomen een uitstekende service tegen een goede prijs. Leuk restaurantje waar je à la carte kan eten.

War zwei Wochen dort während eines Sprachaufenthaltes. Kanns nur empfehlen. Lage mitten in der City, kein grosser Luxus aber für den Preis wirklich Tiptop, auch Frühstück lecker..

Eldre hotell sentralt i Cape Town. Ikke noe overdådig luksus, men absolut å anbefale som et rimlig sted å overnatte. Frokost var bra. Hyggelig og serviceminded personale.

Hotellet ligger mitt i centrum nära till handel o nöjen. några minuter från tåg och buss. Hamnkvarteren runt Waterfront ligger inom gångavstånd.
