We got to our room & took down the comforter there were crumbs hairs ectin bed the coffee maker was recently used theysidnt clean just remade the beds & added towels. They changed our room to one we watched them clean but still had issues &felt robbed for the price pd. Desk service was good- location was great...convenient to food etc. Unfortunately, room left a lot to be desired. Hole in shower patched badly, other patch jobs very obvious on the walls. When I arrived and walked into the bathroom, there was female (head) hair on the floor- kind of gross to me. WHEN I FIRST ARRIVE THE ATTENDANT WAS ON THE PHONE AND STEP OUTSIDE WITHOUT A WORD AND CALL OUT IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE DONT KNOW WHAT HE HAD SAID. 2ND WHEN I RECEIVE MY CARD TO CHECK MY ITEMS IN THE RESERVE ROOM ITS WHAT I DIDNT EXPECTED. If you don't have anywhere to sleep the Hollister Inn is better than nothing, that's all. Breakfast is included - all sugar - the only thing that was healthy was milk, bananas and eggs. Left as soon as we could.

I stayed here because I was visiting Monterey and everything in Monterey was very expensive and booked for the night I stayed. I came across Hollister Inn and decided it seemed decent enough. I spent an hour trying to find the place, this is not the hotels fault, but it was frustrating. Once I found the place and checked in, the hotel was clean, but […] was not comfortable! The air conditioner didn't work and I didn't feel safe enough to open a window. The bed was a bit lumpy. When I woke to shower the next morning I realized I was only given wash clothes. I nearly slipped on my way out of the shower because I did not have anything to put down since there were 2 adults in the room and we needed something to dry off with. Was it convienient? yes. To start with, I'm really not that picky. . . . . . we had a wedding to attend in San Juan Bautista and wanted a place to stay close by. While there really wasn't anything totally wrong with this hotel, there wasn't anything to justify the price at all. If this place had been about 50% of the price, I would've been fine, but for what they charged I […] expected a bit more . . . . . . . - Very thin walls, doors, etc - Noise from parking lot and street - No soap, extra toilet paper, amenities - Small rooms - Sort of clean I'm sure there are plenty of places nearby (Salinas, etc) that have rooms at the same rate that are a bit better. We went for something marginally closer, and left feeling taken advantage of. We had a mix up on dates. Called the Inn. They were WONDERFUL in responding and letting us change the date from a Friday to a Saturday stay. The hotel was on the main thoroughfare, but the room was quiet. Could walk to nearby fast food restaurants. A minor complaint was that the bedding had a bleach scent and the pillow was a little lumpy, but the bed was comfortable and I slept well. The fridge and the microwave in the room were unexpected perks in a on-frills hotel.

Don't look for 5 star and you won't be disappointed. The staff is honest and ernest so if mistakes are made they will be corrected promptly. The rooms are clean , comfortable , and quiet. The maintenance is up to date but sloppy (paint drips, extra caulking/grout etc.) so things work. They have a water saving program to participate in but it is not […] mandatory (sheets/ towels washed daily or not; signaled by a card placed on bed etc.) although the turbo toilets are a bit loud. The parking spaces are large, be careful leaving the lot if you have a low car, go slow or at an angle. The upper walkway is rubberized so you don't really hear people walking. The standard cereal, bagel, toast, danish, fruit, continental breakfast includes hardboiled eggs and wafflettes (mini-waffles) you make yourself. There is also juice, coffee, tea, and a gallon of milk in the fridge. You may wish to take your meal back to your room as the lobby is a postage-stamp. McDonalds is across the street, Downtown is a short walk away and there are several local restaurants and bars nearby as well as a large coffee shop. The rooms do have "window" A/C units in the wall but if it will be really hot , say 100+ I doubt they would help too much but they might. Good place to stay for the right price. Hollister hotel is a good hotel. They serve a nice little breakfast with good variety. It is a clean and quite hotel.

Older small town motel but service was very good.

for the money is not worth it, its more expensive than the 4-5 star hotels. the good thing is they have a waffle maker and cofee. its kind a fun to make your own waffle.

Ik heb hier 1 nacht verbleven. Allereerst wilde de eigenaar dat ik nogmaals zou betalen (Hotels.com zou alleen de boeking vasthouden, niet betalen). Na 10 minuten discussieren herinnerde hij zich opeens dat de boeking al betaald was (phishing?). De kamer was OK, alleen wel gedateerd. Pakeren kan letterlijk voor de deur.
