Unsuitable for wheelchair users despite it being listed as so. Standard of refurbishment was suspect, rooms were very small and some had very squeaky floorboards. Breakfast was disappointing: coffee too bitter, porridge too watery and the scrambled egg excessively salty. Couldn't see out of the window due to condensation trapped between the panes. "Hotel was fine but service was disappointing"

We arrived at the hotel in the late afternoon/early evening after driving and touring The Highlands all day. When we checked in, we asked about restaurants in the area. The front desk clerk said she knew of one restaurant but we could certainly eat at the hotel restaurant. There were 7 in our group. We freshened up and met at the Bar for a drink and […] were told that the restaurant had just closed. At no time did the front desk clerk tell us that the restaurant was closing soon. In addition, the front desk was also closed so there was no one to talk to about other arrangements for dinner. We asked the bartenders and they did not seem to know of any restaurants in the town other than a Chinese restaurant. We got in our car and drove to another hotel and they directed us to a wonderful restaurant where the service was warm and welcoming and the diningroom was packed. We had a wonderful dinner at The Garth Hotel. We also felt the photo of The Craiglynne Hotel on the website was quite deceiving. We expected the hotel to be located on a large piece of property but, instead, the front property was small and, because there was no other parking, all of the cars were lined up in front of the building.
