If You want a quiet hotel with at least any customer service, don t stay here. I stayed in there as part of my travel around ireland, 1. they didnt have premium room, I prepayed, send me in regular room without compensation or refund. 2 We got room just next to upstairs bar, toilets was just across our room, so we cant sleep till 2 am, because of noises […] and running people in hallway, reception absolutelly careless about, said they cant do nothing about that. Most hazardous thing to do is fling the curtains open in the morning; it's quite literally a glass house, and you had best be covered up, or the whole world will see! I was inadvertently assigned a room for the handicapped, and it was fine, quite roomy, except the sink was very low and small, and awkward for shaving. But that's my fault, as I had insisted […] on a twin room, and it was the only one they had left. A big rad there for heat, and air-conditioning too, and you could also open a window, which was all good, because the room was stuffy on arrival, and then the weather took a nasty cold turn, and I needed the rad. Excellent service, the reception staff couldn't do enough for you. LCD TV on wall is nice, but fixed, and hard to see except at a very specific narrow angle. Loved the room and the view Parking was great, and flexible with exit times Only down side was noisy guests in next room coming in at 330 am, but that can happen in any hotel in Ireland

We found the staff very friendly in the Glasshouse which was a lovely hotel based in the centre of Sligo overlooking the Garavouge River. We especially liked the 'lounge lizard' jazz being played in the bar area. This was supposed to be a night away in a hotel we had previously enjoyed a stay in but this has been completely ruined by the hotel. I booked & paid through hotel.com but when checking out I was asked for my card to pay. I assumed that then perhaps that I had only used my card to book the room. When I checked my bank statement I see that the Glasshouse […] charged me for a night there knowing that i had booked through hotels.com (they asked me which site i booked through). This is really aggravating as we had previously enjoyed our stay there 2 years ago. For these reasons I wouldn't recommend it as a hotel to stay in. :( 阅读更多信息

Lovely place, all staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location too

this hotel was very nice, the tv system was fantastic. the only downfall was that the bed was infact two singles joined together and it was uncomfortable lying on the join. all in all though it was a lovely hotel finished off excellently with great style.chic. the staff were lovely and helpful and very plesent.

glasshouse hotel good but the breakfast could have been free for the price

A little hard to find by car as GPS tried to take us the wrong way down one way streets. However once you see the glass facade in the distance it is very distinguishable from everything around it. Free (validated) undercover parking. Wonderful room with full glass windows overlooking the crashing weir of the river. The bar looks to be the trendy place […] for both visitors and locals. Nice Hotel, good location, recommended

Stayed at the Glasshouse on 22 Sept 2011. Girl at check-in not particularly friendly. Room was nicely decorated and modern. Bathroom was clean and fresh.Unfortunately the bed was quite hard and the duvet heavy. Breakfast ok but the restaurant carpet need a good clean. Good location.

The hotel is beautiful, very stricking appearance. Loved our room, colors were beautiful. The river flowing outside our window. Loved the swans swimming in river,. Left items in hotel in Belfast, had them sent to the Glasshouse and they took the time to send the package to my home in the USA. Great service. I stayed in the Glasshouse in 2009 and was impressed with the decor. Its now badly in need of a facelift if it is to remain a 4 star hotel. Great location but a bit pricy for what you get.

I thought the Glasshouse was fine, but it does have to live with the fact that it's a bit of an anomaly - a Celtic Tiger extravagance in changed times. Cross the river to Connolly's pub for a taste of old Sligo.

I visit Sligo often to meet friends and have stayed in most of the hotels there now. The Glasshouse beats them all for location, service and overall value for money (if you can avoid staying at weekends!) I was particularly impressed with the quality of the food - wether choosing from full restaurant menu or the nifty bar menu. stayed for two nights, and although the hotel was clean and safe, it really does look like the photos on the website were taken by a very good photographer when the hotel was brand new. food was good if a little expensive, and if you order the large room, expect a small bed, and if you order the small room, exoect a large bed, they were the options […] on arrival even though we ticked all the boxes and paid for the upgrades the bed was tiny. 阅读更多信息

Great Location, but the room and the hotel were not very clean. The rug in our room had a huge stain on it, the wall was stained, two creamers for our in-room coffee were opened and bad, the bath was chipped up. Overall very poor

To many hen partys, loud music in main foyer, not really like a hotel more like a night club at main foyer reception area,

had a lovely stay in a very comfortable hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful, very central location with lovely view of the river.

At best I can say that it was disappointing.

The Glasshouse have a great localization and can be easily found.Is just 8 min from the train station.Nice and modern beside the river.

On arrival, the hotel was very busy, catering for large groups of travellers. Reception staff were under pressure and as a result were gruff and unfriendly. This experience was related by several different groups of guests at that time. Checked in, opened my room door to find a dirty, un-made room with a serious smell of smoke. Bad start but got another room after ten mins so I wasn't too put out. The next afternoon I realized there was a 21st birthday function going to take place and my room was two doors away from the bar and the bar toilets were across the hall from my room. I could […] foresee a sleepless night so I asked if I could change room but was told that was impossible even though not all guests had arrived. So I couldnt sleep until about 4ish. Only stayed the one night, really central to everything in Sligo, great buzz in the hotel. We were in a room on the top floor (6th) where windows could not be open, the room was extremely hot and very uncomfortable to sleep in, there was air conditioning all right but with the noise of it you could not sleep either. This hotel is really great looking, in the heart of Sligo and near highways. Great views of the river that flows through town and the surrounding mountain areas. I would stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone. It looks like the nicest place in town too.

Small details would make this hotel great but as it stands its average. It's definitely not a 4 star hotel - a 3 star would be a better reflection - It isn't properly maintained as it should have been and whilst I wouldn't expect an overhaul in this climate - a good use of carpet cleaner and lick of paint would bring this hotel up to scratch. Bathroon floors and toilet area not as clean as one would expect!!

service was fine, had very little contac with any staff memberst bar check in and check out. The room we booked was a double deluxe, nothing different or special compared to other standard hotel rooms. Supposedly a deluxe as it over looks the river. We had a wonderful stay in the Glasshouse. Friendly staff, lovely airy room overlooking river, bar service and food A1, walking distance of everything and free parking, what more could one want. Lynn at Reception was so friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back and recommend to others.

Great hotel, great location (right in the centre of the town beside the river). Everything was within walking distance including the great Tobergal Lane Cafe. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as cheaper options were yards away.

Enjoyed it! Great location, our room overlooked the garravogue river. Room was very comfortable, Free wifi in the bar worked great and the complimentary car parking under the hotel is a real plus. They have great deals in the bar for food which we availed of the evening of our stay.

we stayed in the glass house on a friday night. Was very central and handy for night out. Very clean. Decor was a little extreme for bad heads the next morning. Bright orange! Nice Reception Staff and hotel. Room is big and faces river but the river water looks dark. Right to city and easy walk to City center.

Good value for money, great location and very clean, would stay again
