Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mattoon - 马顿

This is a new Hotel and in excellent condition. The layout is well planned. It would be nice if the pool was a bit larger but it is nice that they have the pool open only to adults for 2 hours each night. I was very pleased with the hotel overall. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the buffet staff was very friendly and efficient. My only complaint […] would be the check-in staff. They weren't even at the desk when we walked in, we waited for 5 min before I finally called for someone. Overall, our stay was excellent after that point. we have stayed at this hotel many times. Our son attends EIU there and this has been a wonderful hotel choice. I recommend going directly to Holiday inn's website to get a rate on the hotel. i am not sure going through Hotels.com that we got the best rate.

When traveling with a family of adults, it is important to our group that a suite shouldbe what I believe most of us still think is a suite. We have stayed at dozens of locations around the country and typically a suite has a seperate bedroom with a couch bed in the living area. Nice stay, the staff was professional and helpful. After driving 5 hours we arrived early, 2 hours before check-in time.The staff made our room up in minutes, and we were able to freshen up, change, and leave on time for our appointment. The breakfest was hot, tasty, and always maintained, with great coffee. We will stay there again.

Very clean and new feeling hotel. We had the larger "suite" since my wife and son were with me and it worked out great. I was there for the 1/2 ironman and was able to ride over to the race with a friend and they enjoyed the pool and breakfast. I would stay there again. First time I stayed here. I usually stay at the Baymont but it was booked. I'm glad I was able to get this place. Very clean, nice pool, comfy rooms, flat screen TV & a good breakfast set up. The staff was also very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
