The Stanford Inn is a "must stay" in Mendocino. I took my girlfriend up there to celebrate her birthday. The staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant every step of the way. The room was prepped for our arrival with soft music and chocolate chip scones (delicious!). Breakfast at their restaurant (Rivino) was included, which was a nice touch, and it's […] really good. The Stanford Inn is a North Coast California classic - especially if you have pets, which are cordially received. It is a beautiful location with wonderful grounds devoted to herbs and plants and a very nice - and surprising - vegetarian restaurant which was (and still remains) far advanced for the general area.
