"Wish I had more time !!!!!!"
They are no words that can describe the experience I had this past weekend. The service from the moment we stepped onto the property was like royalty. This resort is just AWESOME !!! Now, I have stayed in Jamaica before at another five star resort but the Iberostar Grand should be in a class by themselves. "Beautiful beach, bad service and food."
The food in this hotel was beyond atrocious. The service was non-existant. The "butlers" did nothing but call guests at unreasonable hours and not actually do the things that were asked of them. Tipping is included in the price, but the staff apparently doesn't know that, and will only offer minimally acceptable service AFTER you've given them a tip. "iberostar grand great but needs several tweeks"
4 nights with my hubby on a vacation long awaited. overall great place.....couples only, nice place..not as lush as hawaii, dominican, etc...but clean and pretty. 3 pools all infinity and a swim up bar...it was high 70's over new years...maybe 80,...yet the coldest water in all pools...NO one went in....freezing. they must consider solar panels. food....good....nice […] selection in dinner restaurants...but they made it very very difficult to make reservations. also...you have to go down about 545am just to save a seat. they should not allow saving...but they do..and if you don't do it you will be sitting on sand or the ground. nice music, good nightly entertainment.... should not allow smoking in all bars, need a sports t ype bar with flat screens for football season..... they really advertise the butler assigned to your room. JOKE. saw him at check in.....didn't help us at all..and didn't see him again for 5 days. maybe we just had a bad one...but i wouldn't but a lot of weight into this service..... 15 min. to airport..... nice beach...little shopping.... terrific spa....but very very pricy. also..most the staff seemed always looking for the tip. it is all inclusive and a lot of the resorts don't allow it...but seemed necessary to get that extra service or timely drink. 阅读更多信息
"A Refreshing Getaway"
Hello all. So, we booked the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall All-Inclusive after reading property reviews on Trip Advisor (TA). At the time of booking, Iberostar Grand Hall was rated the highest in Montego Bay, hence, they won our patronage. Though all-inclusive, our rate for the last week of December was considerably higher than competing resorts. Nonetheless, […] we trusted the TA rating, so we booked it. Upon arriving, things were awesome. We were greeted with a chilled beverage and cool hand towels for a quick freshening up. Nice touch, but this seems to be a common thread amongst many Caribbean resorts, so for us, this was not a major point of differentiation. We also received a complimentary upgrade to an oceanview room, which was much appreciated. From what I can gather, it seems that complimentary upgrades are fairly common, so it may be worth to choose a level down and getting a free bump up. The rooms in the resort are great and the butler service was excellent. After the bell hop escorted us with our luggage to our room, we were given a walkthrough of the amenities by our assigned butler, which was a nice touch. He also informed of the services he would be able to provide; making dinner reservations, refreshing ice bucket, retrieving DVDs, preparing bubble baths. During our stay, we used all of his services. However, he did require a little micromanagement vis-à-vis dinner reservations. Initially, we were told the specialty restaurants were fully booked and we should instead try the buffet. However, upon on insistence and persistence, we were able to get reservations for each night of our stay. Please note the food served at the Gourmet restaurant aka French restaurant was below average. However, all of the others restaurants were great. Our favorite was the Japanese restaurant.
