The hotel itself consists of small buildings, with 2 rooms each, all facing the volcano. It is situated on the edge of a mountain across the water and also includes some wooded walking paths. There are tons of birds, both large and small, but, luckily?, I did not see any four-legged creatures on site. The room we had had 4 beds, a table, an ample closet, […] and a decent enough bathroom (with hot water). The single beds were ok and there was ample covers for if it got cold. There is a pool which was clean. The breakfasts were open buffet and the usual Costa Rican fare: scrambled eggs, toast and jams, fruit, juices, coffee, etc. The hotel is down a long bumpy, unpaved road and it took some time to reach the main road, 20-30 minutes. It is near the volcano and will provide stunning views of the LAVY SIDE when there are no clouds. It is also near two of the main area attractions; one of the main zip lines and the hanging bridges. Once on the main road it's about 15-20 minutes into Arenal. The hotel is VERY near some local restaurants (5 - 10 minute walks) , but we did not go to them. We did eat dinner at the hotel and it was very decent and was a good price. The hotel was very empty at the time we were there which was mid February. Our weather at that time was decent, but cloudy and overcast most of the time. It was warm in the day and a slight chill in the evenings. It rained very little. 阅读更多信息

What a terrible hotel with a magnificent view. The rooms are very spartan with a hostel feel. The lighting in the rooms was terrible. There are balconies with views of the volcano. The food is awful and the road to the hotel is 10 miles of dirt, rocks and pot holes. Don't attempt it without a 4 wheel drive.
