Hotel Altes Haus - 吕德斯海姆莱茵河畔

My rating of this hotel is based on the fact that I was expecting a bog standard 2 star affair. I went 4 a quick weekend break with a friend. Just wanted somewhere cheap to use as a base - so wasn't expecting much for the comparative low price. What we did get was a nice surprise. A warm welcome and booked straight in with no fuss. The rooms - comfortable […] but aged furniture. I would like to see it updated - but remember this building dates back to the 1300's and looks superb 4 it's age. We had single rooms with en-suite shower & toilet which were clean & adequate. Now comes the good bit. The food. The breakfast buffet included was better than I've had in some 4 star hotels - OK you had to serve yourself - but you can eat as much as is available and you're set for the day. The one evening meal we ate there was reasonably priced and comparative to the local restaurants in quality. The staff - I only met 2 - were helpful and informative. A private garage 4 parking your car topped off this little gem of a place. Although the railway runs through the centre of the village it is inaudible once inside, so no problems if you're a light sleeper. To summarise - If you want good value no frills accommodation 4 a few night then you can't get much better than this. Hotellet ligger ikke i Rüdesheim som annonceret, men i Assmannshausen, lige op ad jernbanen, så man får ikke megen søvn. Det er et meget gammelt hotel, der ikke kan anbefales til ældre mennesker, da der ikke er elevator.

Warnung für das Annex: Zimmer richtung Rhein liegen unmittelbar an dem Bahngleis, sprich hohe Lärmbelästigung. Gewisse Zimmer sind sehr schmal und nur mit zwei Einzelbetten ausgerüstet. Das Hotel Altes Haus ist sehr schön alt Eingerichtet sauber gehalten und sehr liebenswerte Gastgeber.

Das Gästehaus des Hotels liegt unmittelbar (ca. 10 m) von stark befahrenen Bahngleisen entfernt. Güterverkehr im Viertelstundentakt. Die Fenster sind nahezu nicht isoliert. situation de l'hotel très bruillante entre voie férée et route passante

Das Hotel war eine mittlere Katastrophe. Die Zimmer total veraltet, man hatte das Gefühl, in den 70er Jahren angekommen zu sein. Alles sehr düster. Die Gäste waren durchschnittlich 80 Jahre und waren am Sonntag Morgen ab 7 Uhr wahnsinnig laut. Insgesamt enorm hellhörig. Das Fereinzimmer lag keine 2 Meter von den Bahnschienen entfernt. Am Sonntag Morgen […] fuhren dann ab 6.30 Uhr im 20-Minuten-Takt Züge und wir dachten, die fahren durch unser Zimmer. Schlafen konnte man also beim besten Willen nicht.
