Hotel Tirrenia - 索伦托

This hotel is situated away from all the hustle and bussle of all the commotion in Piazza Tasso. It took us approx 20 mins to walk from the train/bus... station to the hotel. There is a laundry place right across the street and tons of mini supermarkets and restaurants around the corner which was super convenient. We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, and after the first couple of days we were tired of the same breakfast over and over again. The breakfast consisted of: juice, coffee, tea, an assortment of super sweet tarts, sliced cheese, ham, bread, milk, cereal, prunes, jams, and a few other items. You gotta ask for salami if you want some. The Panini press came in handy. As for the rooms: the first 3 nights we were assigned to a corner room with an ocean view. It was nice and all but the shower stall drain was horrible and kept flooding. We complained and they finally moved us to a room that was triple in size with a bath tub. We were really grateful for the upgrade however I got 6 bug bites the morning after our first night in the new room. Not sure if the bites came from the room or from outside, but I counted 10 bites total when we departed. There is a big jazucci tub on the roof level…we didn’t use it because the water was COLD. The floor right below has a nice patio where you can enjoy something from the bar. The concierge was somewhat helpful but I suggest going to the info booths in Piazza Tasso for accurate sightseeing information. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would recommend it since it is walking distance to the port, the train station and many quaint restaurants.
