"A little treat in Sucre"

I stayed for just one night in a single room before leaving the city. The hotel is a little out of the centre but this allows peace a quiet. It has a garden, terrace, courtyard and lookout. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom even had a bathtub and plug. Breakfast was good and the home made bread was a welcome change. We spent 3 days at this hotel in Sucre. It is barely 1 year old and is a very attractive adaptation of an old colonial mansion which has been completely rebuilt with the addition of a 3rd floor and roof top deck. The hotel is located about 2 ½ blocks from the city’s main plaza & is directly across the street for the entrance to the Museum of the Convent […] of Santa Clara. The rooms are ample in size & nicely decorated. Indeed the whole hotel is furnished with custom made wood furniture, which, while not exactly to my taste, is handsomely executed and gives a unifying sense to the hotel. The owner/manager is a Dutch born man in his mid 50’s who has been in Bolivia for over 20 years and has clearly built this hotel as a labor of love, Breakfast in served in a large room on the 2nd floor. While it is quite adequate – the usual coffee, juices, some fruit, bread & cheese, there is nothing special about it. Our room was on the top floor with virtually a private deck along side of it. We had our evening cocktails there enjoying the terrific view of the city. The staff was pleasant & accommodating, but since we speak Spanish we are not able to comment on their abilities in other languages. 阅读更多信息

El hotel en general ha sido excelente pero algunos detalles como: Teníamos que solicitar mas de una vez que nos prendieran la calefacción pues no lo hacían naturalmente, y el clima estaba muy frío. Debíamos solicitar papel higiénico pues no tenían en cuenta la necesidad y no nos dejaban papel en el baño. Cuando volvíamos de noche, el pasillo hasta llegar […] a la habitación estaba completamente oscuro, y debíamos solicitar que nos encendieran la luz. La luz del baño del hotel era una miseria, al igual que las de la habitación, en la que además de ser luces muy pobres,tenían los focos quemados. Nos pareció una barbaridad que con el costo del hotel(que es relativamente caro si se lo compara con el costo de los hoteles en Bolivia), fueran tan mezquinos también, de cobrarnos por la solicitud de agua caliente. 阅读更多信息
